Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any dramatic performance. She started singing and studying music with her mother, then began more intense vocal training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After moving from Mexico to America in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has in music, art and performing has her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana thank Inland Master Chorale members for their permission to play traditional Latin American song.
