Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin pop mainstream has been affected by his global popularity. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. In 2017, he dropped ADN which was his debut long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached no. 8. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. He released Dopamina the chart-topping second album, in the following year. In 2021, he performed in a duo with TINI to perform her online track Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo is a musician born in a musical home. His mother and brother also played the guitar. In interviews, he referred to his participation in music as compulsory. He learned how to play the guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was when he was a child. Though his original career plan was becoming an animal veterinarian but his brother Julian advised him to begin studying singing with a Cuban. The lessons changed his entire life.
